our mission
“To ensure the future of opera in Australia by providing a professional and nurturing environment to prepare young artists for a career in opera.” - Yvonne Kenny AM (Board Member and Patron in Chief)
our charitable purpose
HOW you can help
In 2022, OSA was 100% funded through donor support. These contributions ensure we are preparing young artists to explore new concepts, to create art that stimulates empathy and social change, and to take these complex ideas to broader audiences. We have 28 Scholars taking part in 2023, at a cost of approximately $10,000 per scholar.
Pledge your donation
Donations of any amount are welcome and do make a difference. Let us know how much you’d like to give by Making a Pledge below and we’ll send you an invoice with the relevant details to make payment. This ensures every dollar of your gift goes directly to supporting our young artists.
Alternatively, you can make an instant donation via PayPal by clicking the ‘Donate’ button above.
Note: credit card processing fees may apply.
All gifts to Opera Scholars Australia are tax-deductible.
patrons
All Patrons receive regular updates via newsletters, invitations to events and the opportunity to mix with Scholars at OSA functions. Topaz Patrons and above are invited to exclusive events, receive priority ticketing and have the opportunity to host a soiree for their own guests in their home.
