Finn Gilheany


Finn Gilheany holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from WAAPA and has extensive experience in classical, stage combat, acting, and musical theater performance.

Finn has been in the Opera Scholars Australia program for two years and holds the Pinches Family Trust Scholarship for 2017. Finn is also a chorus member, soloist and combat choreographer with Melbourne Opera, is an original artist with BK Opera, and is a current choral scholar at St. Johns Church Toorak. 

Through the OSA program Finn has been lucky enough to participate in masterclasses with Yvonne Kenny, and Teddy Tahu Rhodes. As well as participating in many performances, some of the highlights being the semifinals of the OSA Aria Competition and singing the Pirate King at Opera in the Caves.

Other Roles that Finn has performed are; the Boatswain in HMS Pinafore, Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, Albert in Massenet’s Werther, Barone Douphol in Verdis La Traviata Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, Theseus from Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Amos Heart in Chicago, Count Danilo in Lehar’s The Merry Widow and Samuel in The Pirates of Penzance, as well as many other spoken roles. Other performances that Finn has had the pleasure of being involved with include; Wagner’s Tannhauser and Lohengrin, Donizetti's Anna Bolena, and Goetz’s Taming of the Shrew.
