Harmony Lee is 18 years old and is studying under opera singer, Jaqueline Porter. She is has just received the Maroondah Singers scholarship for 2018 and has also accepted a place in Opera Scholars Australia 2018 Scholarship program.

In January this year, Harmony was recipient of Opera Scholars Australia summer school scholarship and performed at Opera in the Alps.
Last year Harmony came 1st place in the National Liederfest secondary school student section, 1st place in the ballad, music comedy and Classical solo sections at the Royal South St eisteddfod and received the ANATS prize, potential for a singing career.

Harmony performed in VO’s (2017) production of Cunning Little Vixen as a Bee and Fox cub and was in the chorus for the Youth Vic Opera’s production of Second Hurricane.

Harmony has been a participant in VOYCE for the past two years (Youth Vic Opera). Last year she performed in Four Saints in Three Acts (Youth Vic Opera 2016) and studied Music Theatre at the VCA, she also performed in The Grumpiest Boy in the World (Youth Vic Opera 2015) and played Maria in a youth production of the Sound of Music (Lifelong Music Productions 2015).

Harmony’s other interests include violin, which she started playing when she was nine and now teaches. She has performed with The Peninsula Youth Orchestra, on occasion the Frankston Symphony Orchestra and earlier last year she performed with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. She is also passionate about teaching and studying Karate and recently achieved her 2nd degree black belt in Zen Do Kai and green singlet in Muay Thai.

Harmony loves performing and expressing herself through voice, she often sings and plays violin for aged care homes. For the last six years Harmony has funded her entire singing lessons by busking with her voice and violin. Harmony hopes to make a career in voice and music.
