Jesse Bartle

TENOR

Jesse William Bartle is a Melbourne based tenor and early music specialist.

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Jesse began his music career studying baroque recorder at the age of 6. His passion for the culture and music of the renaissance and baroque period, has continued through to Diploma levels of Music Examinations.

Jesse’s main musical passion however, is Opera. He began his singing career as a chorister with Saint Georgas Cathedral Choir Perth at the age of 10 with Mr Simon Lawford, and by the age of 15 had performed in the chorus of “I Pagliacci”, “Cavelleria Rusticana”, “Don Giovani” and, “Carmen.”

Jesse is currently under the tutelage of Mr Cosimo Ciccone for voice, Mrs Ruth Wilkinson for baroque recorder and early music studies and Mr Peter Hurley for piano, musicology, musicianship, and theory.

Jesse is also a Scholarship Tenor with Scots’ Church Choir, The Australian Chamber Choir and Opera Scholars Australia. He has been accepted to further his Opera studies with Mr Carlo Barricelli in Tuscany next year.
