SOPRANO

Singaporean soprano Ashley Chua holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where she graduated as one of the top performing students. Her repertoire includes the roles of Diane in Orpheus in the Underworld, Sesto in Giulio Cesare, Miles in Turn of the Screw, First Wood Sprite in Rusalka, and Lady in Waiting in Dido and Aeneas. In 2019, she was awarded first place in the Royal Over-Seas League and the North of Perth Music Festival (Vocal Open). Ashley has also performed as a soloist with Freeze Frame Opera, New Opera Singapore, The Opera People and The Mad Scene.

Ashley recently commenced her Master of Music (Opera Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, where she is currently preparing the role of Geraldine in Hand of Bridge, and covering the role of Monica in The Medium.
