BASS-BARITONE

Christopher-Jack Andrew is an Australian bass-baritone born and raised in Perth. As a child he discovered the joy of singing through choral music, later developing a passion for opera and performance in his final schoolyears. He holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and a Master of Music (Opera Performance) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

Christopher-Jack was delighted to finish 2022 performing the role of Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, returning to the music of Benjamin Britten whose opera Albert Herring provided his debut solo role as Superintendent Budd in 2016. Earlier in 2022, Christopher-Jack had the pleasure of working with Victorian Opera, playing Frost in their production of The Selfish Giant.

Other roles Christopher-Jack has played include Frank (Die Fledermaus), Le Roi (Cendrillon), Buff (Der Schauspieldirektor), The Drunken Poet and Sleep (The Fairy Queen), and Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea).
